The Des Moines Woodworkers Association has several special interest groups for club members. These groups allow members with specialized interests to meet separately for education, technique, skill building, fellowship, and special projects.

Furniture Making SIG
Meetings are informal, with an emphasis on group discussion, question and answer sessions, problem solving, and the sharing of tips and mistakes. From time to time, outside experts are brought in to share their expertise.
Time: 9:30 a.m. on the first Saturday following the regular General Members Meeting each month.
Location: The Woodsmith Store, 10320 Hickman Road, Clive, IA
Furniture Repair & Finishing SIG
Each meeting involves finding solutions to repair and finishing problems, or answering question that participants present. Check our Calendar or monthly Newsletter for specific meeting date, location and subjects.

Time: Meets the Thursday following the regular General Members Meeting at 1:00 PM
