The Furniture Society's annual conference is being held virtually again this year. Normally held in a furniture- or craft-focussed city in the US, the conference draws studio furniture makers and instructors from across the US for presentations, workshops and community. The closest the conference has been held to Des Moines was in Kansas City and Milwaukee, so this is a great chance to check them out without the added cost of travel and hotels.

Events will run Monday-Friday for three weeks through June 21st. Note that times on their website are Eastern time zone, one hour ahead of Iowa.

Registration for the entire conference is $100 for students, $200 for members, and $275 for non-members. Individual sessions are $5 / $10 / $15 for most sessions. There are two sessions that are not included in the conference pass.

If you're considering a full conference pass, a one-year membership is $35 for students or $65 for individuals, so you'll actually save a little by joining as a member first. Membership information available at https://furnsoc.org/members/join

More information can be found at https://furnsoc.org/fs-connects-21-summer/ and we will feature their daily schedule on our calendar.
