Fall is here, yard work is done, and pumpkin spice is in the air. Now is the time for woodworking season. We've got a couple of classes this fall for you to sink your teeth in!
Don't miss out on this excellent opportunity to learn from Master Woodworker, Phil Huber, who is also the host of the TV Show, WoodSmith Shop. This is a great opportunity to get some quality woodworking training from an expert right here in Des Moines.
Classes are generally for beginner (some intermediate) woodworkers and cover a range of topics. You can sign up for $35 for each class ($25 for the router class).

About Phil:
Phil Huber is the host of the Woodsmith Shop TV show and the multimedia editor for Woodsmith magazine. He's been woodworking for nearly 30 years. He enjoys building for friends and family including wall cabinets, tables, boxes, carved bowls and spoons. He works in a small shop at the back of his garage and loves to put old tools back into use.
Fall 2022 Class Schedule:
Router Workshop : Dec 3What you will do/learn : A router is an essential and versatile tool in my woodworking. I think it should be in yours too. During this class, you'll get hands-on experience in exploring the wide variety of tasks you can do with a router. We'll also talk about bits, accessories, and other items that make working with routers easy, safe, and accurate.

Let's Build a Bench : Dec 10 + 17What you will do/learn : This bench project is the ideal opportunity to learn woodworking skills you can apply to other projects. You'll also end up with a great-looking bench that you can use in your entry way, or other room of your house ... not just the garden. During this two-session class, we'll explore basic joinery, using power tools and hand tools. Prior to the class, students will receive a set of plans, a recommended tool list, along with other items to bring.The bench project class concludes with making the top and assembling all the parts. We'll discuss finish options, creating wood plugs, using fasteners, and getting smooth surfaces
